Your route around Olympos depends on how much time you have. The plans below are a starting point; adapt them to the weather, the sea and your own pace. As a rough guide, allow 3 days for the main sights, 4–5 days to add a boat tour plus Phaselis and Tahtalı, and 6–7 days to include the surrounding ancient cities.
1 day: Olympos – Çıralı
- 08:30 Ancient Olympos
- 10:30 Olympos Beach
- 13:00 Lunch and a rest in Çıralı
- 17:30 A walk along Çıralı beach
- Before sunset Climb to Chimaera (Yanartaş)
3 days: for first-time visitors
- Day 1: Olympos + Çıralı + Chimaera
- Day 2: Suluada or the coves tour from Adrasan
- Day 3: Phaselis + Ulupınar; Tahtalı if the sky is clear
For a detailed hour-by-hour version, see our “Three Days in Olympos, Çıralı and Adrasan” post.
4–5 days: history and nature
Add a Rhodiapolis–Limyra day and the Gelidonya Lighthouse hike to the core three days. Arykanda involves a long drive and a steep visit, so plan it as a separate day.
Keep in mind
- Boat tours can be cancelled due to wind and waves; putting your boat day in the middle of your trip leaves room to reschedule.
- Go up Tahtalı on a clear day; if the summit is in cloud, there's no view.
- Check current opening hours for archaeological sites on muze.gov.tr.
- There may be no phone signal in the coves and on trails; download an offline map.
