Set around spring waters flowing down from the mountains northwest of Çıralı, Ulupınar is a cool alternative to a hot beach day. It isn't a single venue but a settlement of restaurants spread along the stream, with tables set beside the water in the shade of plane trees.
Why go?
- Cool air: Thanks to the running water and tree shade, it is noticeably cooler than the coast even in midsummer.
- Breakfast and trout: Ulupınar is especially known for its breakfasts and trout.
- Easy to add to a trip: It fits easily before or after a visit to Chimaera (Yanartaş) or the Tahtalı cable car. Jeep safari tours from Kemer also stop here for dinner.
Good to know
- Menus, prices, children's play areas and accessibility vary from place to place.
- On summer weekends it's a good idea to call ahead.
- The stones by the stream can be slippery; take care with children.
